Who Are We?
We were established in 2021. We come from various engineering disciplines but unite as one — to push boundaries like the rover legends we are 😼
Why You’ll Love It
Ready to turn classroom theory into a real, rolling machine? The UTS Rover Team is calling all students in engineering, science, business, or beyond—to design, build, and compete in an all-expenses-paid adventure at the Australian Rover Challenge in Adelaide (March 2026).
- Fully Funded: Work with high-end parts and electronics paid for by UTS.
- Hands-On Learning: Go beyond lectures—lead electrical, mechanical, or software subsystems.
- Real Competition: Take your rover to the Australian Rover Challenge in Adelaide.
- Portfolio Power: Master Onshape CAD, KiCAD PCB design, STM32/ESP32 development, and ROS2 in C++ & Python.
Note: If you’ve got passion and extra time, we’ll give you skills, experience, and memories for life.
Roles & Opportunities
- Engineering Subteam: Electronics, mechanical design, software integration—develop and test every subsystem.
- Business & Outreach: Marketing, media, industry engagement—no engineering background required.
- Science Subteam: Plan experiments and collect data to push research boundaries on the rover.
